[wm_text_block]IŞIK University, in collaboration with DukeNet partners, will be starting a new 3-year Erasmus + project named as “Enhancing Quality in Innovative Higher Education About Consumer Awareness”, briefly “Consume-Aware”. Consume-Aware is a KA2-Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices under the Strategic Partnership for Higher Education. The project starts on 01-09-2016 and ends on 31-08-2019. Project leader is University of Economics in Katowice, Poland and the joint partners are ISIK University, Turkey; Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences, Finland; University Savoie Mont Blanc, France; The University of Bucharest; University of Trento, Italy; Howest, Belgium; Budapest Business School, Hungary. The total project budget is 333.780 Euro.


Main aim of the project is to educate and train for digital skills that is required for employability in the near future. This will be provided by nobilities as Intensive Programmes (both for teachers and students), and transnational meetings for solely teachers. Project will create a framework for consumer specialist knowledge transfer through creating an interactive educative platform with MOOC on consumer awareness. That platform would include: 1. Consumer protection 2. Institutions which address consumer right protection 3. Legal rules concerning customer rights protection on goods and services market 4. Legal rules concerning consumer rights protection especially on European digital market. Kick off meeting will be held in November in Poland. Dr. Gamze Karayaz of Management Department, and Berna Severge of Office of International Programs will be representing IŞIK University for the project.
